***** The pace is so fast I was out of breath at times. Sam is a flawed character which makes him believable. It's been a while since I read a book in a day but I could not put Charlie down.

***** I thought this book was a great read, and it would make a great film. The character Sam is well written and the plot doesn't slow down and drag. Like a good tune, it keeps great rhythm till the very end.
***** This is a fantastic book - from the first page it grips you and just refuses to let go, but with a sensitivity that is rare in novels of this kind. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish and can't recommend it highly enough.
***** This book is about more than some vigilante. There's a lot in there about PTSD, dealing with a violent past, and about parenthood after being immersed in conflict. But it's fast, and it's a proper thriller too, not just your standard holiday read.
***** I found myself getting pulled into the story from the off. Its articulately written in nice sharp paragraphs and chapters that always leave you feeling like you want more (part of what makes it hard to put down ). I don't leave many reviews, but this book grabbed me in a way that I felt a review was entirely necessary. Looking forward to reading more from this author, highly recommended.
***** Great plot & storyline. A thought provoking and gripping read. Finn writes in a style which really makes you associate with the lead character - Sam & wish you had the strength & aptitude to make things right.
