Malachy Doyle obtained an honours degree in psychology then taught, and worked in advertising before moving to a smallholding in Wales, where he first started writing. His numerous titles, for children of all ages, include 'Owen and the Mountain', which was shortlisted for both the Children's Book Award 2001, and the Tir na nO'g Award 2001 (Welsh Children's Book of the Year) and 'The Dancing Tiger', which won a Silver Nestle Children's Book Prize and was shortlisted for the Irish Children's Book of the year. Malachy lives in Ireland. Stephen Lambert is an acclaimed illustrator whose titles include 'Nobody Rides the Unicorn', which was shortlisted for the Nestle Children's Book Prize, and 'The Orchard Book of Stories from Ancient Egypt'. Stephen lives in Cornwall.
