Successful coastal and ocean engineering projects rely on practical experience with technical tools and knowledge available to the engineer. Often, problems arise from projects that are too complex for theoretical description, which require that engineers exercise sound judgment in addition to reliance on past practical experience.

This book focuses on the latest technology applied in design and construction, effective engineering methodology, unique projects and problems, design and construction challenges, and other lessons learned. In addition, unique practices in planning, design, construction, maintenance, and performance of coastal and ocean projects will be explored.

Dr. Ron Charles is well qualified to write a book about the search for historical Jesus. Although he earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering and worked as a structural engineer for 12 years, and a B.A. in Theology and pastored for 14 years, his passion has always been history and archaeology, particularly New Testament and Roman era history. As such, Dr. Charles continued his education by earning an M.A. in Ancient History, an M.A. in Historical Theology, a Ph.D. in Ancient History, a Ph.D. in International Relations, and a Th.D. in Historical Theology.

Dr. Charles spent 33 years, traveled to over 50 countries, and was involved with numerous archaeological investigations in five different countries, in his pursuit for authenticating information regarding the life of Jesus.

Dr. Charles was a co-founder of the Albania-American Archaeological Society; serves on the Board of Directors of Pacific International University, Final Frontiers International, and as a member of the Board of Governors of Cambridge's Biographical and Historical Division; and has recently been a recipient of Cambridge's One Thousand Great Americas award. Dr. Charles has written six other books.

Dr. Charles has been married to his wife, Paula, for 32 years, and is currently employed as a writer for Crown Financial Ministries in Gainesville, Georgia.
