
The Chef's Companion by Elizabeth Riely
Because life is best when shared, a few years ago when I found myself single after a long marriage, I decided to start dating. These dates (some blind and some not) and encounters often grew into relationships, became indelible and included one engagement. I could not leave this planet without sharing such memorable events by writing this autobiographical poetry. And since all is not perfect in Datingland, I call this poetic group BODY LANDSCAPE: The Delights and Dregs of Dating.
ELIZABETH RIELY is a journalist and food historian whose articleshave appeared in Bon Appü¾Œ¶Œ¼(c)tit, Gourmet, the BostonGlobe, and The New York Times. She is editor of theRadcliffe Culinary Times, the newsletter of the SchlessingerLibrary, a contributor to Gastronomica, and the author ofthe cookbook A Feast of Fruits.
