Dr. Helen Wells is a criminology lecturer and researcher at Keele University. She holds a BA, MA, and PhD in criminology and studies a variety of themes centered on 'law-abiding' crimes and surveillance. Her road safety study has received support from local governments and charities, and she recently completed a Parliamentary internship producing speed camera briefing materials for MPs and Peers. In 2008, she was given the Brian Williams Award by the British Society of Criminology for the finest first paper by a new academic in a peer-reviewed journal.
