Dale Chihuly is the founder of the Pilchuck Glass School and father of the American studio glass movement. This book features 500 colour photographs of works that span his career, accompanied quotes from the artist himself, short texts on his series pieces, as well as a chronology.
Dale Chihuly is recognized as the most important artist working in the medium of glass. He has won numerous awards and in 1986 became one of only four Americans to be honoured by a one-man exhibition at the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in the Louvre, Paris. Chihuly is co-founder of the Pilchuck Glass School outside Seattle, which draws students and teachers from around the globe.
