Chitin in Pharmaceutical Technology by Adnan Ali Badwan
This book aims to treat chitin as a standalone biopolymer, highlighting its multifunctional applications, particularly in the formulation of pharmaceutical solid dosage forms. It is intended for a multidisciplinary audience and seeks to equip readers with the fundamental scientific principles of chitin science and technology. Such an approach will enable researchers from different backgrounds to pursue a unified objective of advancing chitin applications. Indeed, this book advocates the potential of chitin as a multifunctional excipient, with its particle size and molecular weight modified to meet the requirements of continuous production of solid dosage forms.
