Smarties Prize winner Tony Mitton is a highly-respected poet. His picture books for Orchard include Down by the Cool of the Pool, Spookyrumpus (winner of the Sheffield Book Prize, the Dundee Book Award and the Portsmouth Book Award) and Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus. He spends his time writing, giving poetry performances and visiting primary schools. Tony lives in Cambridge. Layn studied BA History of Art and Architecture at Reading University, before getting a first class degree in Illustration from Southampton. She now lives in Hampshire with her husband and children.
