DR JOYCE CRITCHLOW has been twice shortlisted for The Times Preacher of the Year Award. A tireless local preacher, she serves a number of rural churches near her home in Buxton, Derbyshire. She studied for her Ph.D at Manchester, under the renowned Biblical scholar, the late Professor F.F. Bruce. A popular columnist in the religious press, she has written on Bible herbs and flowers, saints as well as other books on preaching.
