Luck, Evelyn: - Born to a farmer's daughter Mother and a Fishmonger/ Poulterer Father, six months prior to the outbreak of WWII, I was introduced to the land and animals before I could walk. Educated at Homewood Secondary School, Tenterden, leaving at the age of 15 years at Easter, soon after my birthday, with no qualifications whatsoever. The only place that I wanted to work was on the farm. There I was in my 'comfort zone' - at one with the countryside, nature and all creatures great and small. After my marriage in 1962, I worked for my father-in-law - farming and cider making. In 1973 my husband Bob and I acquired our own farm and farmed together until his death in 1998.
