Part of a series that aims to place buildings within their historical context, this text considers the Expiatory Church of the Sagrada Familia, Grand Central Terminal and the Sydney Opera House. Mark Burry is a Professor of Innovation (Spatial Information Architecture) at RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, and the Director of the Spatial Information Architecture Laboratory and the Design Research Institute. He has worked with prominent worldwide architecture and engineering firms and is an Australian Research Council Federation Fellow and Member of the Advisory Board of Gehry Technologies in Los Angeles.
