Claire Macdonald is the author of seventeen best-selling food books and has featured at cookery demonstrations all over the world, in addition to owning and running the world-famous Kinloch Lodge on the Island of Skye for three decades. In 2011, the National Farmers' Union and the Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland honored her with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to Scottish food. Abertay University also bestowed an honorary doctorate on Claire.
