Max Wade-Matthews, the contributing editor, is a freelance writer and historian. For four years he was editor of the American Civil War magazine, House Divided, and he is the author of several history books. Max has been a member of the prestigious Milepost team and writes for them on locomotive and historical subjects. Milepost 921/2 is the multimedia production company for the railway industry, which co-ordinated the creative team for this book.
