A relative newcomer to the world of children's fiction, Jill Lewis is a fresh and original new voice. With a background in teaching, she brings a sound understanding of what children find funny to her writing, as well as a zip and zest that is immediately infectious. Egmont are publishing Don't Read This Book!, a picture book by her, illustrated by Deborah Allwright, in September 2008. She lives in London. Erica Jane Waters has been a full-time illustrator since 1996. Her first solo book Mr Pepper's Perfect Petshop was published in 2006 and the sequel, Molly's Jolly Brolly was published in 2007. The Perfect Monster, by Sally Grindley and illustrated by Erica, was nominated for the Nottingham Children's Book Award 2006. Erica lives in Northamptonshire with her husband - and they will soon be joined by their first child.
