John Fuller is a central figure on British in British letters, and one of the most prolific and brilliant poets of his generation. A fellow of Magdalen College since 1966, he has encouraged and influenced two generations of poets, including James Fenton, Mick Imlah, Robert Saxton and Mark Wormald. As astonishingly versatile writer, he has produced children's books, literary criticism, and novels, including FLYING TO NOWHERE, which won the Whitbread and was shortlisted for the Booker in 1983, as well as 13 volumes of poetry, all of which have been highly praised.
