The Collected Prose by Elizabeth Bishop
These short stories are designed to form a companion to Elizabeth Bishop's collected poems. They reflect life, characters and manners in the American rural maritime community where the writer grew up. In addition there are some travel pieces and a variety of memoirs.
Bruce B. Bishop has worked as a meteorologist in various parts of the UK and overseas, and also as a music teacher and examiner. He set up and managed a large private teaching practice and is currently a freelance Local History Researcher. He lives in Elgin.
