Colony by J A Henderson
Thirty years ago a secret army research facility was destroyed - overrun by millions of ants. Two survivors fled the carnage, unaware that something terrible escaped with them. Now a teenage boy and girl discover that they are linked to that fateful day. Betrayed by their families and hounded by the military, they begin to realize their whole lives have been a lie. Worst than that, the ants are gathering again ...
[Of 'Bunker 10']: 'I get sent quite a lot of books..and can't get past the first few pages of most of them. Thankfully Bunker 10 was an exception. I raced through it. All the excitement of a computer game and all the tricksiness of The Matrix. Plus a lot of humour, some fun characters and no squeamishness about violence. Great stuff. I can't remember when I last read a book with such a high body count. If there were more books like this out there maybe boys would be reading more. Charlie Higson More twists than the average rollercoaster and enough gadgets to keep James Bond happy...a treat for confident readers and a good choice for those of the opinion that "books are boring".
