Nora Okja Keller was born in Seoul, Korea, and now lives in Hawaii. In 1995, Keller received the Pushcart Prize for 'Mother Tongue', a piece that became part of COMFORT WOMAN and the novel has since won a 1998 American Book Award and was longlisted for the Orange Prize.
