Command a King's Ship by Alexander Kent
With Bolitho in command, the frigate Undine sets sail for India and beyond. Europe may be at peace, but in colonial waters the promises of statesmen count for little and the bloody struggle for supremacy still goes on.
Enemy action,. . sinkings, boardings, amphibious operations, decks awash with blood . . . This one does not disappoint. -- The New York Times
Alexander Kent, pen name of Douglas Edward Reeman, joined the British Navy at 16, serving on destroyers and small craft during World War II, and eventually rising to the rank of lieutenant.
