He still writes regularly about the book publishing industry, and has published features on travel, investing, business history, technology, and careers. He is the author of the academic history On Strike at Hormel: The Struggle for a Democratic Labor Movement. Green has taught history at New York's School of Visual Arts and Stony Brook University, from which he holds a PhD in US History. He lives in New York City.
