He holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology from the University of Alabama and teaches classes such as Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, and Anatomical Kinesiology at Mississippi University for Women. He has published many articles on his research in biomechanics and performance in cycling in scientific journals; presented findings on cycling research at the Southeast American College of Sports Medicine; and received numerous research grants.
