Complete Cat Breeds by Alan Edwards
A comprehensive encyclopedia of the main cat breeds of the modern world, this manual aims to provide a useful introduction to learning about and selecting a breed to keep, or even to start on your own. Classifications are divided into sections according to the cat types: longhairs, semi-longhairs and shorthairs. These cover existing breeds as diverse as the ever popular Persians and Angoras to rarer breeds such as Ocicat and Ragdoll. There are also sections with advice on breeding cats, which includes information for each breed about grooming needs, as well as insights into each breed's typical character and temperament. Also included is information and useful tips about showing your cat at prize shows. Throughout, colour images accompany the expert and up-to-date text making this a useful reference guide for anyone wanting a more in-depth knowledge about this diverse and fascinating animal.
