Filled with lush, full-color photographs, this exquisite, coffee table-sized paperback details the magical implementation of plants and herbs. It's part ritual guide, part New Age therapeutic reference. After an explanatory introduction defining magic as an organic force, Gregg (The Toltec Way) divides the book contents into three segments covering the following: herbs that protect and repair, herbs that facilitate harmony and success, and a section on herbs with miscellaneous efficacy. Each accessibly written, one-page entry brings together a description of each plant's magical properties and details more traditional therapeutic uses. Recommended for collections focusing on New Age and holistic medicine and culture. -- Library Journal, Oct 15, 2008
