With books like Hardball and Shuttergirl, CD Reiss rocketed to the top of the USA Today bestseller list, but she still has to chop wood and carry water, which was buried in the fine print. Her lawyer is negotiating with God, but if you phone and she doesn't answer, it's because she's at the well hauling buckets. Reiss moved to Hollywood after earning her master's degree in screenwriting from the University of Southern California.
