At the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, Pankaj Jalote is Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. He was previously an Assistant Professor in the University of Maryland's Department of Computer Science and Vice President of Quality at Infosys Technologies, Ltd. in Bangalore, India. He was one of the major architects behind Infosys' transition to high-maturity levels of the CMM while at the company.
