Conshohocken (Then and Now) by Brian Coll

Conshohocken, a square-mile borough just outside Philadelphia, was incorporated in 1850 with just seven hundred twenty-seven residents. A century later, the population peaked at eleven thousand. This volume explores the changes in the community during more than one hundred fifty years of growth. Highlights include St. Matthew's High School, the borough's centennial and sesquicentennial celebrations, and Alan Wood Steel, one of the area's largest employers. Although the face of the community has changed, Conshohocken's residents have always preserved the sense of family that endures today.
Coll, Jack: - Jack and Brian Coll, local historians and authors of Conshohocken, also part of the Then & Now series, have been researching the rare photographs in Norristown for more than a year. Brian is an accomplished photographer and author. Jack has published hundreds of articles on area history and has written and produced a documentary film covering 100 years of football in Conshohocken.
