EWAN MCKENDRICK is Professor of English Private Law at the University of Oxford and a Fellow of Lady Margaret Hall. He has previously taught at the Universities of Central Lancashire and Essex, the London School of Economics and University College London. He is the author of a number of articles on the subject of commercial law, contract law and tort and is editor of Chitty On Contracts. He is also a barrister in practice with a leading set of commercial chambers in London.
