Coping with Stress by Mark Harrold
The subject of this book can be found in the title, and even more so in the subtitle. This is a practical book of-60 short chapters that can be dipped into, for a brief read, whether in a doctor's surgery, sitting on the train or before going to bed at night. While the topic is serious, the content is, for the most part, light and entertaining. This book offers a menu of strategies on how to cope with the stress that most of us experience in our daily lives. The reader will be encouraged to be their own therapist and decide which strategies work best for them. There is a need for a book that offers practical, simple techniques for overcoming adversity. Dr. Mark Harrold has called on his extensive experience in working with thousands of people to help them take control of their lives. In an easy-to-follow format, Dr. Harrold provides numerous approaches to recognising, tackling, understanding and managing the negative aspects of our lives. Avoiding jargon and psychobabble, Dr Harrold's strategies can be easily adopted and practiced by anyone. From learning the importance of breathing properly to the benefits of walking and exercise to learning how to relax, Coping with Stress is the perfect toolkit to manage the pressures of contemporary life.
