Corn by Jessica Battilana

Short Stack is a series of small-format cookbooks authored by America's top culinary talents. Each edition is a collectible, single-subject booklet with 20-25 recipes that offer ingenious new ways to cook our favorite ingredients. Each 48-page 4.5 x 7.5 book is printed domestically on textured cover paper and colored paper interior with a staple binding. All of Short Stack's covers and illustrations are original artwork. Short Stack Editions CORN: A fresh ear of corn is the food lover's dream: delicious when treated simply with just a touch of butter, but perfectly capable of anchoring a cooking project. This edition explores the brilliance of both ends of the spectrum, coaxing each kernel's sweet summer flavor out onto the plate.

Jessica Battilana is a recipe developer, cook, and writer. Her debut cookbook, alongside chef Charles Phan, earned an IACP prize in the Chef/Restaurant category, and she has subsequently collaborated with baker Chad Robertson and butcher Ryan Farr on publications. A partnership with a candlemaker is in the works. Jessica's recipes and articles have appeared in Sunset, Gastronomica, Martha Stewart Living, and The Wall Street Journal, among other publications. She resides in San Francisco with her husband and two sons, with whom she shares an ice cream obsession. Jessica's website is jessicabattilana.com.
