He has published articles in a range of periodicals, including The Accounting Review and the Journal of Accountancy, on accounting, accounting education, marketing, and finance. He's written case studies on cost accounting and company policy.
Dr. Carter has served on the editorial boards of The Journal of Accounting Education and The Accounting Review's Education Section, as well as committees of the American Assembly of Collegiate Schools of Commerce and the American Accounting Association. He has testified as an expert witness in accounting cases and has worked on consulting projects and executive development programs for businesses and industries. Dr. Carter is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Institute of Management Accountants, and the American Accounting Association Management Accounting Section.
