Covid in Newcastle by Tom Warburton

A moving photographic account of the Covid-19 pandemic in Newcastle upon Tyne. A record of one of the strangest periods in the city's history, and tribute to those who lost their lives and those to risked everything to help protect us.
Tom grew up in the Eden Valley in Cumbria. He spent much of his working life in the North East from 1992 through to early 2022. In the last eight years he was a Director at Newcastle City Council and thus had a front row seat in the council’s and the city’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic. He has been a keen amateur photographer since his school days. He is now retired and lives in Cumbria. All of Tom’s royalties will go to Newcastle Hospitals Charity.
