She studied Graphic Design at Camberwell College of Art in London, and her interest in paper engineering was inspired by tutor Paul Jackson, a famous origamist and paper sculptor. Ann Montanaro is an avid pop-up book collector, author and researcher. She is the founder of The Movable Book Society, a world-wide organization, which has been promoting pop-up books since 1993.
