The fundamentals of the book, however, remain the same. It focuses specifically on: critiquing nursing research; the increasing requirement for nurses to become conversant with research, understand its link with the use of evidence to underpin practice; and the growth in evidence-based practice.
Review of the 1st edition any nurse that has an interest in research would benefit from this book, either by using it as a prompt to get more from research or to develop skills in critiquing researchThe book is suitable for pre reg students who are required to undertake a research critique for their studies. However I feel the focus of mental health needs to be apparent in the title. This may then appeal more to mental health students.
