Tim Severin is a writer, explorer, and historian. The Brendan Journey and the Viking series are among his works. He has received the Gold Medal of the Royal Geographical Society and the Livingstone Medal of the Royal Scottish Geographical Society for his efforts in retracing the fabled voyages of historical figures.
