Culdesac by Robert Repino
The war with no name rages on, setting the world on fire. Humanity faces extinction at the hands of the Colony, a race of intelligent ants seeking to overthrow the humans and establish a new order. To achieve this, the ants use their strange technology to transform the surface animals into highly evolved killing machines who rise up and murder their oppressors. Relentless, bloody and unforgiving, Culdesac is the story of an anti-hero with no soul to lose, carving a path of destruction that consumes the innocent and the guilty alike.Robert Repino grew raised in the Drexel Hill neighborhood of Philadelphia. He obtained an MA in Creative Writing from Emerson College after serving in the Peace Corps. Short stories in The Literary Review and Hobart, as well as the middle grade series Spark and the League of Ursus, are among his works. He works as an editor for Oxford University Press and lives in New York. Malefactor is the final installment in the War with No Name trilogy, and it comes after the books D'Arc and Mort(e) as well as the novella Culdesac.
