He then spent six years in Sierra Leone as a primary teacher training and British Council KELT Professional Coordinator, where he met his wife Fatmata (Fanta). He worked with the British Council's International Career Service in a variety of capacities after Sierra Leone. He is the father of two grown children and the owner of Luna, a Labrador retriever. He had visited 117 countries at the time of this writing.
