"Dad's Army" by Jimmy Perry
The complete scripts for six classic early recordings now missing from the Dad's Army archives. All but one of the six episodes recorded for season two were accidentally wiped after their first broadcast in 1969, but David Croft has unearthed the scripts for those long-lost episodes.
Dad's Army creators Jimmy Perry and David Croft are an award-winning writing duo whose other credits include It Aint Half Hot Mum and You Rang M'Lord. Jimmy Perry also wrote the Dad's Army signature tune, 'Who Do You Think You Are Kidding Mr Hitler', which won the Ivor Novello Award in 1970/71. Croft and Perry have been awarded the OBE for their services to television.
