Steve Voake was the Headteacher of a primary school in Somerset before becoming a full-time writer. He is the author of many YA novels, including The Dreamwalker's Child, The Starlight Conspiracy, and Blood Hunters, which have all received positive reviews. He's also the author of the Daisy Dawson and Hooey Higgins series for young readers, as well as the award-winning non-fiction picture book Bug Detective. He is a regular tutor for the Arvon Foundation and a Bath Spa University Senior Professor in Writing for Young People.
