Damien Hirst: Nothing Matters by Damien Hirst

Published on the occasion of Damien Hirst's exhibition at White Cube Mason's Yard and Hoxton Square in November 2009, Nothing Matters features a new series of large-scale colour triptychs opening into gatefolds. Also showing for the first time are Hirst's oil paintings on newspaper.

Damien Hirst was born in Bristol in 1965 and studied at Goldsmiths College in London. He staged the now-famous 'Freeze' show in London in 1988. In 1991, he had his first solo exhibition, 'In and Out of Love,' in London, and the following year, he was a significant part of the pioneering Young British Artists exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London. In 1995, he was awarded the coveted Turner Prize in London. Hirst's art has been featured in numerous notable group and solo exhibitions around the world. He divides his time between Devon, London, and Mexico.
