Thirty-two-year-old Sihle Khumalo was born in Nqutu, a small rural town in northern KZN, and grew up in PietermaritzburgOn graduating from the then Natal Technikon, he worked in the Port of Durban for ten years, four of them as a Risk Manager. To celebrate his 24th birthday he bungee jumped at Victoria Falls; the following year he ran the Comrades Marathon; for his 27th birthday he parachuted - on static line - at Oribi airport; in 2003, he went aerobatic flying (as a passenger) at Rand airport. He is celebrating 2007 by doing the Accelerated Free Fall (AFF) skydiving course.
