who coined the term high-conflict personality Megan came up with the idea for the Institute after working as a Family Law Specialist for the Arizona Supreme Court and as the Child Support Manager for the Dawes County Attorney's Office in Nebraska for 13 years. Megan has taught high-conflict legal issues to legal, mental health, business, leadership organizations, universities, and other professionals across the United States, Canada, and Australia. Her background includes building expertise in international child custody issues, as well as policy design, research, and program development related to court processes, child support protocols, and parent education initiatives.
She gained a wide grasp of the difficulties facing both families and professionals in family law as staff to the Arizona Legislature's Domestic Relations and Child Support Committees. She has a master's degree in business administration. Chadron State College in Chadron, Nebraska, awarded him a Bachelor's of Business and Economics from the University of Phoenix. She was the President of the Arizona Chapter of the Organization of Family and Conciliation Courts, as well as the Arizona Family Support Council and the Nebraska Child Support Enforcement Association.
She most recently served on the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners for five years and as Vice President of the Personality Disorder Awareness Network, a non-profit organization. In 2010, the Arizona Association of Family & Conciliation Courts honored her with the Distinguished Contribution Award, and the Arizona Psychological Association honored her with the Friend of Psychology Award in 2006. She is married with three children and five stepchildren and lives in Arizona.
