Joan Juliet Buck is a novelist, critic, essayist, and editor from the United States. From 1994 to 2001, she was the editor-in-chief of Vogue Paris. She published two novels, The Only Place to Be and Daughter of the Swan, while working as a contributing editor for Vogue, Vanity Fair, Traveler, and The New Yorker. She currently contributes to W, Harper's Bazaar, and T Magazine of the New York Times.
