Lou Cameron (1924-2010) was a prolific American novelist who wrote adventure novels, science fiction, crime fiction, war novels, movie novelizations, westerns, and more, with over 300 titles to his credit. He created the Longarm character under the name Tabor Evans, as well as the Renegade series under the name Ramsay Thorne, in addition to the Stringer western series. Cameron was a successful comic book illustrator who won the WWA Spur Award in 1976.
