A Day in the Life of a Baker by Carol Watson

Each title in this series takes a professional person, whose job is familiar to the reader age group, and follows them through their day. Each introduces the context of members of society going about their daily work. Richard owns a small bread and cake shop and bakes his own products. His day begins at 3am when he and his staff light the ovens to bake bread and pastries. He also makes cakes, buns and even sugar mice, gingerbread men and birthday cakes. Once he has made his deliveries to other shops he supplies, he helps behind his own counter until 5pm, when it is time to go home.
Carol Watson is the author of all the titles in the Day in the Life series. She brings her experience as a former teacher to each of the books she has written
