Born in Crawley, she now lives beside the South Downs in Sussex with her husband and grown-up children. She is the walks writer for Sussex Life magazine and Assistant Editor of Hassocks Life magazine. In partnership with National Trust South Downs, she has made films to explore local history at ancient Saddlescombe Farm, Devil’s Dyke and Cissbury Ring. She is a graduate of the MA in Creative Writing at Bath Spa University and also writes fiction. She co-authored Cycling in Sussex, her first guidebook for Vertebrate Publishing, back in 2008. Her other guidebooks include Sussex Walks, Day Walks on the High Weald and Cycling Days Out – South East England.
