Death In The Air by Shane Peacock
While visiting his father at the magnificent Crystal Palace, Sherlock stops to watch a remarkable and dangerous trapeze performance high above, but suddenly, the troupe's star is dropping, screaming and flailing, towards the floor. He lands with a sickening thud just a few feet away, unconscious and bleeding profusely, his body is grotesquely twisted. In the mayhem that follows, Sherlock notices that something is amiss with the trapeze bar! He knows that foul play is afoot. What he does not know is that his discovery will put him on a frightening, twisted trail.
Shane Peacock, biographer, journalist, and screenwriter, is also the author of six novels and three plays. He is the creator of the award-winning The Boy Sherlock Holmes series, has written for Orca's Seven series, and has been nominated for numerous prizes including the Governor General's Literary Award. He lives near Cobourg, Ontario, where he enjoys playing hockey with his kids. The Artist and Me is Shane's first picture book.
