Death of a Legend by Bill Groneman

On March 6, 1836 one of the most well-known Americans of his time fought and died in one of America's most celebrated battles. In recent years the fate of David Crockett at the Alamo has become a subject of controversy and debate.
Bill was born and raised in New York City. He writes about John Steinbeck, Davy Crockett, the Alamo, and September 11, 2001. He has been a member of the Western Writers of America since 1993, and has served on the WWA's executive board twice. He looks forward to attending the WWA's convention every year where he lends his voice and guitar to the nightly music. He is the composer of the song, Western Writers of America, and founder of the fabulous Gronettes chorus line. He now lives in Texas.
