Death of a Scientist by Mike Welham
A President and a Prime Minister want to go to war to remove a dictator President and gain control of his country's vast quantities of oil after the conflict. But to gain public support they need a valid reason. A threat from the country's President to use chemical and biological weapons gives them their reason.
Mike Welham was a magistrate for sixteen years and a chairman of the Bench for most of that time. Mike served in the military and also worked in the dangerous world of oil and gas diving, both in the UK and abroad. He is the author of The Crabb Enigma (the true story of the life of Commander `Buster’ Crabb, a frogman who `disappeared’ in mysterious circumstances) and Crime Pays. He brings his investigative skills to Death of a Scientist, his first novel.
