Author of numerous painting instruction books, Ginger is also a regular contributor to national magazines. She is a member of the Society of Decorative Painters and served as its president in 1988-1989. Ginger received the Distinguished Service Award from the SDP in 1990, and in 1991 she received the Society's highest honour, the Silver Palette Award.
