He has competed in over a hundred triathlons, winning several, and has represented Great Britain in the 1991 World Triathlon Championships in Australia. He and his wife Sue live in Washington, in the north east of England, with their two creative sons. He is a co-author of People Leadership in the Twenty-First Century.
